Information Collection
The Lake Placid/Essex County Visitors Bureau is the sole owner of the information collected on www.schroonlakeregion.com. The Lake Placid/Essex County Visitors Bureau collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site including email address, name, surname and address.

Information Use
This information will be used to help the Lake Placid Essex County Visitors Bureau streamline our marketing efforts. It will also be used to communicate with the consumer in the manner in which they have requested.

This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

We NEVER share email addresses.

Business Transitions
In the event the Lake Placid Essex County Visitors Bureau goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via email and prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. The Lake Placid Essex County Visitors Bureau does not store this information; it is for the sole purpose of tracking the success of our referral program.
