Mission
The Lake Placid/Essex County Visitors Bureau (LPECVB) is a private, not-for-profit marketing organization, responsible for the promotion of Essex County, New York as a tourism destination through traditional marketing efforts, communication, and quality destination development.
Membership
Membership with the LPECVB represents a show of support for our organization
and our efforts to develop and facilitate marketing programs that increase
tourism activity and result in positive economic impact in Essex County.
LPECVB members also enjoy the benefits of membership in the Essex County
Business Council, including access to health insurance and other business
opportunities.
The LPECVB is a 501c6 membership organization. Any business, organization
or individual in Essex County is eligible for membership for a nominal
$25 investment.

of Directors
The bureau's board of directors, responsible for governing the organization,
is comprised of 15 individuals, with at least one director from each of
the four tourism regions in the county; the Lake Placid/High Peaks, Lake
Champlain, Schroon Lake and Whiteface regions.
