Our very popular annual pocket-sized guide is the perfect solution to advertise your business to visitors and the community. The publication, ready for distribution in early spring, is complete with lodging, hiking, fishing, maps, golf, family fun, shopping, dining, heritage and culture, and all that the county has to offer.

Quick sign-up for the 2009 advertising:
1. Choose your category- Lodging, Restaurant, Shopping, Activity, General Business
2. Select your ad size – Click Here
3. Email your ad copy and image to marketing@lakeplacid.com

Brochure Display:
The Lake Placid Visitor's Center* is a hopping place during our peak vacation seasons. An endless stream of visitors and residents comes in looking for information about things to do, and where to stay. Let us put your literature directly in their hands! Displaying your brochure in our lobby is an important means of promoting your business.

There is also brochure display space available for rent at the Lake Champlain Visitors Center in Crown Point. Click Here to learn more.

You also have the opportunity to distribute your brochures at the High Peaks Welcome Centers located on I87! These highly trafficked centers are an optimal distribution point for your brochures. Either North or South bound facilities may be chosen. Click Here to learn more.

Online Contests:
Another mechanism to promote your business, ROOST offers online contests as a way to engage our visitors and to generate marketing leads. Travel Writer Hosting/Partnerships:
Our Communications department is working hard to attract travel writers and appropriate media from our target markets to visit our area and write about us from a first-hand perspective. Online Reservations System:

ROOST now offers Essex County lodging properties the option to display rates and inventory online, free of charge. This flexible system allows you to create attractive packages, reduced rates or display your rack rates as the season demands. Visitors are able to book online directly with your property.

Availability Calendar:

Take advantage of this easy online feature, which allows the consumer to check whether or not your property has availability.

The Availability Calendar application is now the "starting point" of our new Online Reservations system. Please contact Kristin Strack, by email kristin@lakeplacid.com or 518-523-2445 x109 to get started.

e-Mail a Reservation Request:
Sometimes people would rather email than call on the phone. For an Email A Reservation Request button to be added to your photo listing details all you need to do is click and complete: Email a Reservation Request with an e-mail address- that you will check daily - and respond to any inquiries within 24 hours.

Group Reservation Request:
These features both work the same as the e-Mail a Reservation Request - they are just targeted specifically to parties of 10 or more rooms.

If your lodging business has the capacity to host groups of 10 or more rooms, click Group Reservation Request Program to sign- up.

Hot New York Deals and Packages:
Packaging is a great mechanism to promote your property. You don't need to discount your room rates, or spend a lot of money to advertise it - you just need to create an interesting and attractive package and promote it for FREE through our sites.
