There is still significant snow on northern exposures (read popular trails to Marcy and Algonquin) above 3,500 feet. Spotty, but very rotten snow on other trails. best bet is to go paddling this coming weekend, but the Backcountry Conditions page has suggestions for currently hikeable trails.
