Inline Skating at the Olympic Oval and Special Event Nights

Get ready to lace up your skates and hit the ice under the stars at the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval!
The Olympic Center will be opening the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval this summer from 7-9:00 p.m. to offer under lights inline public skating and biking to the community. Beginning May 27, 2023 through the month of June, we will open on Fridays and Saturdays. Starting June 30, 2023, we will operate nightly Wednesday through Saturday until September 2, 2023. During Ironman we will be closed July 15-25, 2023. You can now skate circles around your friends and family on the same ice where Eric Heiden won an astounding five Olympic gold medals in 1980 in the summer!

Special 2000's
Inline Skate Night! We hear fads come around - its time to look back in mom and dad's old year books or climb deep into the closet for those jeans you just couldn't part with from high school. We're going back to the 2000s with popping jams to skate the night away under the lights. Pouf that hair high in the front and find some hoop earrings! Come out and have some fun inline skating on the Oval! In the event of rain: make up date is Saturday Aug 5th.
Totally 80's Night -
It's time to live it up going "round and round" on the Oval tonight! We're going back to our most favorite decade...the 80s! Tease your hair, bring out your best look from the 80s and hit the Oval for some classic hits from a truly rocking decade.
If rained out, we will make up on Aug 12th.
Movie Night-
Has Halloween come early? It seems like it! Come out to the Oval on Aug 18th in a movie inspired look or costume as we play hits from the cinemas!

Diva Era Night -
Public Inline Skate! Don't let it be a "cruel summer". "Let's get this party started" on the Oval on Aug 25th. We're rocking in our diva era tonight with jams by our favorite artists. It's glitter and glam on inline skates tonight! Rain make up date is Aug 26 Movie Night at The Olympic Oval for Inline Skating!
Big Summer Blowout Night-
Celebrate our last weekend of summer with red white and blue, American classics on the Oval. Skate into the setting summer sun one more time under the music and lights! August 31
