Legacy Sites Olympic Spirit 

The Lake Placid Legacy Sites will be basking in Olympic spirit as the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games officially kicks off with Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 26 and concludes Sunday, Aug. 11. As the host of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Games, Lake Placid’s Olympic venues offer visitors and residents the unique opportunity to witness live Summer Olympic action from historic sites where past Olympic history was made.

View live broadcasts and updated medal counts of the Paris 2024 Games at each of the Lake Placid Legacy Sites: Olympic Center, Mt Van Hoevenberg, the Olympic Jumping Complex, and Whiteface Mountain.

Community Inline Skating Night will take place on Monday, July 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to support Team USA. The event is FREE and open to the public, with rental gear available. The Olympic Center will be lit up to support Team USA.

The Lake Placid Olympic Museum, located inside the Olympic Center, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will host a variety of events during the Summer Olympic Games, with continued programming that includes Touch-A-Torch, Story Hour & Craft, Olympic Truce, Behind the Scenes: Exhibit Testing, and private tours.
