Eclipse glasses and safety
Complimentary safety eclipse glasses will be provided as supplies last.
Remember: Looking directly at the eclipse without proper eye protection is never safe. Eclipse glasses are NOT regular sunglasses; no matter how dark, they are not safe for viewing the Sun. Viewing any part of the bright Sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
Please note: Use caution walking on walkways and parking lots, especially in buildings. Melting and freezing, as well as water and snow accumulation, can cause surfaces to become slippery at any time of the day or night. Try to clean the snow off the bottom of plastic ski boots to help prevent a slip and fall. Use footwear with good tread and/or use commercially available products made for the bottom of shoes and boots to give better traction.
Please note that the Veterans Memorial Highway will NOT be open at this time.
