Come celebrate World Ice Skating Day in Lake Placid!

World Ice Skating Day is an international day dedicated to celebrating ice skating across the world in the form of a global festival. This global festival comes to the Lake Placid Olympic Center and the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval on Sunday, December 3rd and will encompass all types of ice sports. Be it first time skaters, professional athletes, or families looking to spend quality time together, there is something for everyone at World Ice Skating Day in Lake Placid! Additionally, local clubs will be on hand to help out and give more information on programs.  If you’ve never skated before, come on over and someone will help you with the most exciting of “firsts!”

Admission is FREE from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the Oval – and 3 – 5 p.m. in the 1932 Rink. Skate rentals are $10.
