UCI Mountain Bike World Series
It's time to get excited for the upcoming UCI Mountain Bike World Series! Join us in watching this three-day world class sporting competition featuring the top male and female mountain bike cross-country and short track riders from around the world.
Cliffside Coaster
The longest mountain coaster in North America is designed like a bobsled track and puts visitors in the driver’s seat. Riders control their speed through sharp corners and cliffside banks on a track that winds through pristine forests and offers stunning views. Venue: Mt Van Hoevenberg.
Bobsled Experience
Reach speeds of 50 miles per hour around banked turns, cruising down a real half-mile bobsled track just like Olympic athletes. This is an adrenaline-inducing ride unlike any other.
Olympic Legacy Tour
Offering a historical perspective with Olympic inspiration, this is a unique walking and bus tour experience during which expert guides offer details and insights into the sliding sports of bobsled, luge, and skeleton. Beginning at the new Mountain Pass Lodge, tours give visitors close-up views of the twists and turns of sliding tracks throughout their history.
Indoor Climbing
The region’s newest indoor climbing facility serves climbers of all ages, levels, and interests. With multiple lead options, a bouldering wall, a traverse wall, gear, and shoes, it takes climbers to new heights in a safe and controlled environment. Climbing programs and group bookings are also available.
Cross-country Mountain Biking
Explore secluded Adirondack forests via more than 30 km of cross-country ski trails and single track. There’s terrain for veteran riders and beginners alike from steeps, jumps, and hairpin turns to open meadows and gentle flats. Riders of all ages are welcome with both rentals and mountain bike lessons available, too.
Discover Biathlon
A one-of-a-kind experience for athletes of all ages and abilities. The program first gets participants’ heart rates up with aerobic activity, such as hiking or biking, before swiftly settling participants onto the range with a real biathlon rifle for intense exercise in precision marksmanship.
Discover Luge
Professional and Olympian instructors guide visitors through the sport of luge and prepare them to take multiple runs on a paved summer track with a wheeled luge, feet first, face up, letting gravity do the work. A safe and fun way to experience an exciting winter sport.
Hiking and Running
The Hiking Center at Mount Van Hoevenberg makes the perfect basecamp for your next Adirondack hike. With 55km of cross-country ski terrain, hikers and runners of all levels can enjoy total immersion in pristine birch and pine forests while going up and down hills, through lush valleys, over flats, and across mountain brooks. There’s also one of the Adirondack’s newest trails, the MVH East Trail, a 4.7-mile out and back that is a model for sustainable trail design offering a gentle climb to some of the finest views in the High Peaks. Trail parking areas also provide chargers for electric vehicles.
