Recently, I came upon a wonderful photograph album in the archives. I find old albums incredibly interesting to look at and it has since been residing near my desk, to be revisited on and off over the past couple of weeks. An old photo album can tell a story of a place or people in a very unique way, connecting us to the past. They can communicate with the viewer on a personal level, with a certain feeling of intimacy. This album is from the late 1800's/early 1900's and belonged to the Lee family of Elizabethtown, NY.  I thought I would share a sample of the charming photographs.
